It\'s time to fire up the war machine. Silencer return to the stage Friday the 18th of May at Union Station in Colorado Springs with local death metal kings Try Redemption and special guests. More details soon!
Greetings friends! We\'re happy to announce that we\'re making excellent progress on the record. Drums, rhythm guitars and bass will be done later this week, definitely the "guts" of the record. At this point it\'s really starting to sound like we had envisioned, and we haven\'t even really put any bells or whistles on it yet. Vocals start next, then guitar solos, effects and mixing. We\'re starting to kick around album artwork ideas, which will lend itself well to a few things, including the fact that we are proud to announce that we\'ll be pressing this album to vinyl; a first in band history. Very excited over here. You\'ll still be able to get it on CD and digital of course, want to cover all the bases.
Some good news, Alex just signed an endorsement deal with Billdidit hi-hat clutches. Check out his artist profile by clicking on this link: http://www.billdidit.ca/#!__featured-artists/vstc1=fa---alex-simpson
Talk to you soon, stay heavy.
Although this is maybe not news to some close to us, we thought we should officially announce that Chad Armstrong, Brian Kotal and Justin Ferrarello have left Silencer a few months back. We do thank them for their very hearty contributions and service over the years to the band, and wish them luck in their future endeavours.
So what\'s next? We decided to take a break. In fact, it was the first actual "break" in the band\'s 12 year history lasting more than a week or so. We\'re fairly recharged now and the ideas have been flying. So along with our new bassist Patrick Russell we\'ve been quietly working away on a brand new record, and promise you something very different, very cool and very metal. We have a strong start with several songs in the can and are more than excited for you all to hear this. When the schedule solidifies further you\'ll be getting more frequent updates from us. This all means that in the not so distant future we\'ll be packing the heat in the van and seeing what kind of hell we can raise on a stage near you. Ready?
